I don't mind the whole "Sandman is ACTUALLY Uncle Ben's killer" no biggie there, I'm used to that sort of thing in comic books, its no different than saying well this person didn't ACTUALLY die, it was there clone, or it was an illusion or it was dream or it was manufactured dream induced illusion or ... You get the idea. Anyway, I want to see Venom in the movie, it was like seeing the Architect in Reloaded you didn't expect anything like that because there was no hint of it in the previews.
You want Venom scarier? He bites spidey causing great mutation...the result of 4 arms! This accelerates the mutation process he already had as Spider-Man in the revealing way of becoming a human spider. That isn't going to happen. Even if Brock becomes stronger than Peter, his skills and experiences makes him greater - common logic.
It's nice to see the ripped Spidey mask again, like in the first movie. There's just something so...pivotal about it. You know Spiderman is in a boatload of trouble when the torn mask appears. And I like how they've kept the design just like McFarlane had it during his Spiderman run.
And a question to you guys. Who do you think gave Spiderman the best beating in the movies, Green Goblin or Dock Ock?

Just a few things.. In the screen shot with Harry holding the knife over his head and Peter way below him...
Well if you look it kinda seems like he is on the floor.. on his back.. arms spread, and 2 red marks on his chest.. Stab wounds? Scratch Marks? Bite marks? Maybe that is a scene where they only showed like a second, but maybe he is fighting Venom, Cause he is like almost ready to stab and he is way further in the air than Parker is. Parker is wayyy Down on the floor, and it looks like quit a distance. And why would Harry go crazy ninja on him if he is like on the floor hurt already.
I think there is either Venom or Sandman in that scene also. My money is on Venom.

(And one more thing, we will have alot more than 2 seconds of Venom in 3, if you look closely at ALOT of the scenes in the trailer, even the ones with Sandman and Spidey fighting, there is black webbing in many of the scenes. And that is Venoms. YOu have to look pretty close to see it, a few of the scenes it is in the far background.)

Peter is in his civilian clothing in that scene. Which would suggest it's from his first battle with Harry.
The battle with Sandman and Venom happens on a construction site, where he's wearing his Spidey costume.
