yes, only white people have important roles in SW.
Not only are most major characters in SW white, most are male, human, and Ben and Qui-Gon aside, generally American.
As for whether Revan should be white, Indian, black, Oriental, Cherokee, Latino or anything else:
Revan should be White American Human male. Just to fit in with the prejudice that seems to be rife in SW.
In fairness though, does it really matter what Revan's ethnicity is? As far as I've seen, the characters in SW do not even recognise ethnicity.

I have to agree with Lord Coal its just the way opf star wars and why would we change a thing...that has gone through the years suceeding in what it does
Too bad YOUR opinion doesnt matter, LeeLand Che has already said Revan is black
"Revan is black, only a black man could sway the Jedi morals of Bastila, only a black man(or a white man voiced by James Earl Jones) is badass enough to go from Sith Lord to Jedi Knight."- Lee Land Chee
"Oh yes Revan is a black man, In my vision of Star Wars" - Lucas
There you go all the proof in the world...
Wrong AcStyles.
Leeland Chee "After meeting with the Indian President, who thoroughly enjoyed Knights of the Old Republic, LucasArts have officially declared that the protaganist main character Revan, is Chalactan (which is based off India). We are proud to make this distinction, as there are very few 'Indians' in Star Wars, and we are glad to continue to improve the diversity of our characters. Balle Balle!!!?
