How did we get so off topic. Back into the fray. Ok, this is an honest question and one that I've been grappling with. It's a triangle question, but it's not necessarily a J/E biased question.
Would Will take Elizabeth back at this juncture if she were to explain everything to him? Does he still need her love to complete his life, or has he grown beyond it?
That's what I've been trying to decide since the events of DMC. He's definitely matured into adult hood, does that mean it's with Elizabeth or without her?
well, here's my take SavvySparrow (and thanks for bringing the topic back around 🙂). For me, for a relationship to feel satisfying and have the feeling that it will last long term, I need to see two characters who are completely comfortable with who they are, complete on their own, whole characters who arent just looking to have their needs met by someone else.
So, I really hope that it isn't about love completing anyone... I'd really like to see Will and Elizabeth both get to the place where they have grown into a mature place in who they are, and that if they get back together/end together, it will be in the context of two people who want to share life, and not just two people who idolize or utilize each other.
I think if Elizabeth explained everything to him, he'd take her back, but it wouldnt be the best situation unless they were able to re-build all the trust and re-evaluate who they both are and how they are going to fit together in the future.
The situation of if Will will take back LIZ depends on how it is approached...See if Liz really really loved WILL she would tell him the truth because the quilt would be to much to handle....so we still have yet to see if she does or if he confronts her about it!!
And another thing is for many years the only love Will ever felt was the love he had for LIZ and the feelings he suspected she had for him....and once they came out to each other....it was the only love Will had....but in DMC a new love was introduced to him....the LOVE OF A FATHER which he has never known....til now!!!
So IMO Will will no longer depend on his LOVE for ELIZABETH....because now he has his father to think about as well! <----and good for him!!! but IMO T n T cant possibly give WILL all of the perks of a happy ending....because JACK has to share in that triumph as well....afterall the MOVIE is about JACK SPARROW regardless of what u all want to think!!! So give WILL his father and give JACK the Girl!!! lol!!
