yes, it's so sad how there's not much more to talk about since AWE came out....i guess I could find all the stuff in the jr. novelization that wasn't in the movie.....and the clips we saw of things that weren't in the movie..that all pointed to sparrabeth..and actually would have made the movie run smoother....the whole movie was not peiced together well..i find..whoever decided on the final editing...hummmmm.......

It's getting harder each day without having an annoying person posting annoying stuff.
Talking about me, Mina?
You know, you could actually try discussing Sparrabeth and how their relationship has turned out, and think about what adventures, romantic or not, that Jack and Elizabeth could have together.
Heck, you could even talk about how Teague is responsible for pushing Jack to vote for Elizabeth. You could talk about how things could have been for Jack and Elizabeth if Will was never, ever in the picture. You could respectfully discuss how you would have had a Jack and Elizabeth scene in AWE go where they talk about the Kiss of Death. You could keep it in the text of the movie, or if you want to be creative, you could think about what they would have done outside of canon. As long as it's respectful, why not? I've already developed a few ideas of what could have happened in the film.

As for me being a 'downer' for the Sparrabethers, I have attempted numerous times to generate conversation about Sparrabeth. Granted, it hasn't been the "OMG, they're so hot!" type of discussion, but I have wanted to discuss Sparrabeth and have tried to open up dialogue. You can view it as 'bashing' or negative, but again, that's your own fault for not bothering to look beyond the fact that I prefer Willabeth and respecting canon over Sparrabeth.
One other thing, Mina. Just because you pop into the Willabeth thread on KTTC and make nice doesn't mean that you are a superb example of all that is good in fandom, especially when you have no trouble complaining about or bashing other ships or particular shippers on other forums.
At least with me you know what you get, instead of lying to people or hiding what my true feelings are.
Now, I have offered up numerous choices of discussion of Sparrabeth. There are plenty of other topics we could get into as well. Does anyone want to start a new and interesting discussion on Sparrabeth?
oh...and yet another....all these just make me so sentimental...for the good olds days when there was so much speculation and excitement....I can't let go, ladies...no matter how hard I try...i can't let go..there's no closure.....there's got to more than what meets the eye...

Now yes actually I would. I mean I'm not referring to the arguement(don't wanna get in the middle of that), just the last part of what u said.
I love discussions. So long as we put aside personal prejiduice and be reasonable. I LOVE SPARRABETH! Has anyone noticed that I WILL run this ship alone IF neccessary? But healthy debates are good! and afterall this IS the sparrabeth thread. what be a better place?
I'm just saying it's been so long since we had a good dramatic discussion (not since the early months after DMC) so why not? We haven't even analyzed AWE yet like we did DMC and COTBP and there's so much symbolism and so much to discuss...
Has anyone noticed any forshadowing, sybolism or interesting trivia? or start a new topic of discussion? I think we really should. Just an opinion.
Interesting Trivia: It was only after Teague really pushed at Jack that Jack made the choice to really forgive Elizabeth, and to make her pirate King.
Teague rocks, but I think I'd be afraid to have him for a father.
But back to J/E...So I thought that it was interesting. Did you see how surprised Elizabeth was when Jack voted for her (and I love how all the pirates got mad that Jack voted for her. Tee hee)
Yeah, he was still a bit reluctant with Elizabeth, but really, who can blame him? He trusted her in CotBP and in DMC (one of the few people he trusted), and she betrayed him big time by killing him.
He voted for Elizabeth for two reasons; one, he trusts her, and two, he needed her to give the orders for war (and then for parley) so that he could get on the Dutchman.
Really what I like about their relationship (this actually goes for all of the trio, including Will and Jack's relationship), is that they don't NEED to talk things over. They understand and accept each other for what they are, and they are eventually able to move beyond whatever conflict they've had and work seamlessly together. It's great, don't you think?
