Anywhoo I have an Idea! I for one will probably in an author's note on my next chapters for my story on FF.net will personally inform (in the gentlest way possible, no anger, so that i don't give willabethers any type of satisfaction) at least to my readers of the possibility of a dumb prank....so that at least ppl will start knowing about it! 🙂 Maybe those of you also in the current process of writing FanFics (katelovespirates, savvysparrowluv, etc..) could also leave warnings or inform your readers as well of the plotted prank....i mean least we could do is to try and destroy this prank before it even starts...right?

Oh my gosh. These people need to get a life. Who cares if fanfictions are "flooded" with J/E stories? The solution to that is to write more willabeth, not just ridicule what's already there. True, I prefer fics where the characters retain their own personality, but my guess is that the whole reason fanfiction was created was so people could write whatever they wanted about the characters they love. This message board is pissing me off. Here are their topics for fake sparrabeth stories.

ZOMG JACK GIVES HER FREEDOM!: Actually, Jack just encourages her free spiritedness. Elizabeth gives herself freedom and although Will doesn't mean to tie her down, he kind of does.
Overindulgence in Rum leading to ‘activities’ (The island scene in CotBP): I don't think it really happened, but it could have.
OOC the evil/sadistic/abusive/rapist Will : Okay, got to admit, I don't like these fics either. Will, if nothing else, is a really nice person that would never hurt or rape any woman.
Elizabeth not caring that Jack is sexist: How is he sexist? He values Anamaria's help, admires Elizabeth's spirit, and doesn't ridicule Madame Chang. Yeah, he sleeps around, but that's not the same thing as sexist. He's always treated Elizabeth respectfully, or at least as a friend and not as an object.
Curiosity: This is a beautiful scene. Nothing else to say.
Jack turning romantic and sweet: Jack can be romantic and sweet, especially if he has the motivation to do so.
Jack being a good man and always doing the right thing: Most of the time, Jack does do the right thing. His problem is he does it in an underhanded way and doesn't tell people his plan, so it backfires on him.
Jack saving Elizabeth from drowning – it must be love!: I don't think any sparrabether has marked the moment Jack and Elizabeth recognized the spark between them as the moment where he saves her from drowning. For one, she's unconscious, and two, it doesn't matter how gorgeous a woman is if she is weighing you down while you're trying to swim.
Elizabeth teaching Jack the ‘Yo Ho’ song – it must be love!: No, but it is something they share and it's a pleasant moment for both of them.
Elizabeth grabbing Jack's leg – it must be love!: Zuh? "It must be love?" Do these people not see how little things add up into big things?
Elizabeth looking at Jack – it must be love!: All I know is that she smiles more when she's looking at Jack than she does looking at Will.
Elizabeth leaving Jack to the Kraken – it must be love!: Oh...this burns me up. I could write a thesis on this moment.
Jack giving the Pearl to Elizabeth because they are in love: Okay, that has to be something someone dreamed up because Jack never willingly gives up the Pearl nor does Elizabeth ever ask him to.
THE DANG COMPASS!: I hate the compass too. That's why my sparrabeth fic does not include it.
Jack settling down with Elizabeth because they are in love: Um, okay. I can't see them "settling down," but he can't be a pirate forever. You don't see eighty year old pirates pillaging. They settle down sometime or get killed off.
Elizabeth having Jack’s child instead of Will’s: I'm not a fan of Elizabeth being blatantly unfaithful either, but if she loves Jack and her fidelity doesn't break Will's curse, it is expecting too much for her to not start feeling something for someone else. And if those feelings become love, it could be very likely she would have someone else's child.
Elizabeth taking up with Jack because she doesn’t want to wait for Will: Again, not a fan of unfaithful Elizabeth stories.

Elizabeth having amnesia and falling for Jack: I've only read one of these and I didn't really like it. Anyone, regardless of what ship they ship, who relies on an amnesia story is probably just a bad writer who watches too many soap operas.
Elizabeth leaving Will because he is a eunuch or a whelp: Well, never read one of these, but it sounds like the start of a parody. Will's fathered a kid. I think he has all his parts.
Unresolved Sexual Tension/Lust - it's hot, it must be love!: This is what's called a circular argument. Yes, one can argue that the unresolved sexual tension/lust defines love. However, you can also argue that it is the love between them that leads to the sexual tension/lust.
So, I'm all for ignoring this and letting the petty, stupid kiddies have their fun. I won't be reading any of their trash any time soon.

the deal is, we already saw a pretty decent (though tragic) W/E ending onscreen. You write fics about what DIDN"T happen onscreen. Plus, the JE character dynamic is complex enough to lend itself to endless fics. IMO anyways.

Yeah. They need to think about why there are so many sparrabeth stories. Notice they don't have a problem with norribeth or barbossabeth. They exist believe it or not! Ladies, don't let a bunch of immature kids get you down. We all know by now who is probably a legitimate sparrabeth writer. We all have our favorites, who have favorites, so it's not like we have to be in danger when we're browsing along searching for stories. I highly encourage everyone to spread the word to just ignore this childishness.

This is one of the most romantic sparrabeth stories I've ever read, and I mean romantic in the old-fashioned against-all-odds, leg-in-the-air-while-kissing romantic AND it manages to throw in modern day sex in there with it. The summary? As if you needed more? Okay. Stop me if you've read this one before, but it starts like so many others. Elizabeth and co. go to the Locker to go get Jack, but one of them, through Tia's help, goes back in time to find Jack. Where does that person go? What is the consequence of it? Read on!
