Liz as always has such deep faith in Jack...despite everything she believes in him...and if that isn't bases for a true love relationship, I don't know what is.....
and then thinking of jack....jack admired Lizzy for being the pirate and chaining him to the mast, although he does not appreciate the death part too much..but we know he's met his match in her...from rum runners island, peas in a pod, persuade me, curiosity and kiss of death...he has seen her grow and grow.....so i can only imagine that when this following scene occurs...he must floored by her...wanting her all the more and admiring her strength......and what she's become......

"Captain, Captain? They're just giving the title away now!"
"What happened to Sao Feng?" demanded Ammand the Corsair.
"She probably killed him." Jack muttered.
"will you never forgive me? Elizabeth said to him.}
then on pg. 155....
{"I agree with Captain Swann." said jack, astonished to hear those words coming out of his mouth. He stood up, and everyone held their breath waiting to hear what he would say.
"We fight," he said simply.
Barbossa rolled his eyes. "You've always run away from a fight!"
"Calumnious lies!" protested Jack. "I have fought hard and often, in order to run away. We all have, else none of us would be here today, and free."}

Okay, now I'm going to assume it is written this way because it's meant for young peope..jr. novelization...Elizabeth would have to be absolutely daft not to know what jack wants with her...and another thing, remember Jack's last words regarding the pearl at the end of DMC.."She's only a ship, mate".....
so then.....

you know what....I also think the interviews coming out are very interesting. They say that Will and Elizabeth are the two characters that grow throughout the trilogy and that Jack, of course, being Jack only wants the Pearl....I refuse to believe that Jack doesn't grow...we've already seen that he has...so, they just want to tease us and drive us crazy, i think. They are such genious. You have to hand it to Ted and Terry....they sure created a monster in me over this past year....
