Vipco

I have always resisted buying anything from the VIPCO label on dvd until Friday when i picked up Zombie Creeping Flesh and THE BEYOND for a £1 each.
I have always heard bad reports about Vipco but the two films appeared to be totally uncut and ZCF had decent picture quality too.
Has anyone else bought anything on the VIPCO label??
Are they all uncut and of decent quality??

I found ZCF to be quite entertaining after years of finally getting round to seeing it even if it was badly dubbed,didnt make much sense,used lots of footage from documentaries for the wildlife scenes and ripped off a lot of Goblins DAWN OF THE DEAD soundtrack.
Anyone got any links to the music that wasnt by Goblin particularly the track just before the end titles??

and is SHOGUN ASSASSIN worth a blind buy??

they are all watchable. stagefright has perfectr picture quality

i would say shogun assasin is worth a blind buy

they got a real bad rap have VIPCO but i have no complaints with the two i purchased...apart from the covers - TERRIBLE
It looks like STAGEFRIGHT will be my next dvd purchase
Is HOUSE BY THE CEMETARY cut??
I was pleased that ZC Flesh had the eyeball pop out scene
the VIOLENCE IS ITALIAN ART youtube compilation you posted made me seek it out and its there in all its gory

house by the cemetary is indeed cut unfortunetly.someone said the the Anchor Bay region 1 version is uncut. So i would hunt that version down

stagefright is a very good horror film btw,one of my favourite slashers.

I only have Stage Fright from that label, seems all good to me.

I heard the director often put scenes from other peoples films in his other stuff
he made a jaws rip off and put footage of JAWS in without permission!!

You have to buy 'THE BURNING' from vipco, picture is great and it is totaly uncut (including the raft scene) LOVES IT!!

I've got The Burning on Vipco vhs, not dvd though. Still uncut I think.

All of the VIPCO titles I've seen have been censored as far as I can tell.

I own Zombie Flesh Eaters 1,2 & 3, City of the Living Dead, Zombie Creeping Flesh and Zombie Holocaust, picture quality is decent on them all.

Seen many of the Vipco titles, The Slayer was the worst as the best bits including the ending had all been cut.

Will definetly check out Stagefright.

yeh its the best scene in a slasher movie imo. bloodbath!

I cant beleive after the eyeball popping scene that theyd make cuts!

The Beyond DVD is a bad transfer
A lot of the times characters are half out of shot but its better than the pirate copy i used to have.
Stagefright was very good quality wise.
Anyone know anything of THE NOSTRIL PICKER??
and away from VIPCO but an oldie is EVILSPEAK uncut in the uk??

Just watched "Stagefright", have to say it was pretty good, good production values and well made ( for an 80's slasher! ), bad acting but not the worst ive seen, story put an original twist on the same old tale, shame about the lack of gore ( has this been cut?), but some good variety on the kills, using different weapons etc, slasher fans should definitley check this out, cant believe I hadnt seen this already.

yeh i posted a thread on it a while back. it was a very good slasher. soavi is a very good director though

Finally got round to watching it after buying it a few weeks back
was ok
i think there were a few minor cuts..the bit where the director was decapitated seem to cut away quick.
I havent checked the original running length and compared it to my Vipco release yet.
Should have done with TOXIC AVENGER it was on the Horror Channel uncut the other week so i assumed the dvd would be too.
Theres about 6 mins missing.
What a joke.
And the ****wit in the shop i got it wont give me a refund.
