Well I ain't got nothing now but when it comes to her...I'm gonna be ready. Plus it's more funny when someone doesn't know ur funny and u come out with a joke....if that makes any sense which it probably doesn't.

Humor is good! But don't go just telling random jokes, that'll last for only a few minutes.
I assume you know of some of her interests, as in music, movies, cooking whatever?
Prepare some amusing conversation material that applies to those interests. Do some research perhaps.

I haven't read all the reply's so maybe you have had better advises than I can give you, but personally I'm much more interested in shy kinda guys than the smooth talkers. Just go up to her (are you in the same school? Buy her a coffee) and just talk a little. And if you start talking nonsense out of nervousness, just tell her you're nervous.

Ha yes, 3 years ago I would have been like bag but now its all swank.

Just go say something like..'so, have you seen [insert movie]', then if she says yes you can be all 'yeah it was pretty cool hey?' and start a convo, or if she says no you can say something like 'oh you should see it, its pretty good' which then opens it up for you to ask her out to see it naughty

It is much easier on here than in real life though. For me at least.
