But I DO agree that he is dematerializing the target with his Omega Beams. In theory, this would mean he could spread those atoms all over the universe, and I honestly would like to think he could.
But I don't think we ever decry someone's durability when they get teleported by JLA transporters, or anything such as that. Its one of those strange, non-logical bits of comic book science.
I happen to think that Darkseid is much more powerful than Superman. I also think that his wipeouts would work on Superman, and that Superman constantly trying to avoid them - indeed, going to great lengths to avoid them on some occasions - is indicative of this.
But until he actually does it, it is just conjecture.
For the record, I also believe that as Kirby originally conceived the Omega Beams, when they "hit" a target this gave Darkseid absolute control over their atoms. He could do whatever he wished with them, like sending them through time or wiping them from existance, or sending them through space or bringing them back to life -- whatever he wanted.
And in that sense, then, Darkseid would necessarily have to be able to wipe Superman from existance if he could teleport him.
But I don't believe thats how other writers see it, and I don't believe that is how it has been consistently portrayed.
What he means, Chaos, is that Thor is incapable of hurting those foes. Even Thor's Godblast only drove Juggernaut back, and that is far and away his most powerful attack.
That said, Thor uses a different form of teleportation than does Darkseid's Omegas. Its more akin to a Boom Tube, a portal that rips through space/time.

The teleportion beams and the omega effect are basically the samething. The Oe works by teleporting you into oblivion.
Teleporting is with in his powerset. If he can get rid of Supes that easily, then their really shouldn't be much of a fight between the two.
What are you talking about? Superman didn't do anything. He couldn't handle Henshaw and Ds took him out with one blast. The reason I showed that scan, was I trying to show the power gap between Superman and Seid. [/B]

and if u want to use hunter and prey darkseid needed superman to by him time becuz doomsday just whipped his ass then superman saved his life with a mb then superman had to go fight him while ds powered back up. after the fight ds was afraid of doomsday and stayed right where he was while supes hunted him down and stopped him.
