Yeah, he is. Interesting choice. GLs are available in Round 3, if I remember correctly.

Also, this should be announced:

I talked to batdude about what will happen if there's a dispute over a draft pick. Say Blair and DC take the last pick in round 1 and the first in round 2. They choose an energy guy and a brawler. But then debate starts about the brawler's legality.

In the meantime, the next two teams make their selections in round 2. BW and DC's brawler is eventually banned. Now they have the 3rd pick in round 2.

Not exactly fair.

So. If a pick ends up being disputed and banned, any picks after that pick will be ignored (this only holds for rounds 1-2), to be fair to the "order" system we're doing for rounds 1-2.

So if a pick is being argued, I'd advise teams not to pick in rounds 1-2 until we come to a decision.

You better start looking for a new partner or you're going to end up with only 2 characters to use.

If he don't turn up I will have to drop out.

You had better start looking before the drafts though ... whoever else teams with you will probably want a say in which character they get to use

Generally they will be at least 3 months in between if not longer. Most people just won't be interested in a tourny right after another one.

I'm going to make the next tourney. Look for it somewhere around late February - early March.

Right. But at least 3 months...usually more. I've seen what happens when too many happen in a short time. Interest wanes, and it's not nearly as good as it could be.

P.S. Good luck with that DC. During school is always a challenge.

Yeah, and I gotta take time zones into account. Summer holidays would be easier...but maybe a bit too far?

Or I just do most things on weekends. Drafts, matches and such...

Well, it's not so much the time. But general forum activity is down during the school year, and you'll have people saying "I would enter, but I'm busy with school." Probably bogus excuses for the most part (they could find the time).

But if it's a well-run tourney, it shouldn't matter quite so much....you'll find interest regardless I would suppose.

Perhaps I'll make mine during summer. I've got school, the creating of my website, the creating of my gigantic Spider-Man Respect Thread and other stuff to occupy me during the beginning 2007...

Not to mention World of Warcraft and Playstation 3! 😄

I think I will go with DL. I looked at a tournie thread and he has been in one before, when he was called Dman I think. Is it really him BTW ? I was told but....

Experience is what I need, I am still new to these.
