Was this ever answered? Is Adaptoid allowed to take on the abilities of opposing team members?

No we're not allowed to copy the other team(I asked batdude via PM).

New questions:

Super-Adaptoid....I'm kinda unfamiliar with him.

Is he humanoid? Cyborg? Entirely machine? How does he manage to copy powers? Does he inherit knowledge of how to use these powers, or just the powers themselves?

It's my understanding that he DOES gain the knowledge of how to use them as effectively as the original characters(though I'm currently researching to make sure). He also gains the skills, attributes, the whole nine yards. The main reasons he's beaten in comics is PIS(or in the case of Captain America, an inferior "Fighting Spirit"😉.

Power Pooling kinda negates the whole sub thanos level requirements.

So is this the actual tourney policy?

Apparently not.

😮

😂

Not that I know of. Batdude said that powermeshing could go up to skyfather level (which none of us can actually do nonetheless) And skyfather level is not thanos level. Thanos can "rumble" with a skyfather but 9/10 he loses, that 1/10 being through brains.

I think that if Thanos can stand up to Marvel's top skyfather, the he himself should at the very least be classified as a low end skyfather at the very least. Especially since his showing against the Maker right after his last upgrade.

Anyway, does everyone here share DC's opinion that all of the characters involved in the tourney combined wouldn't equal a skyfather in power?

A hearty nay, good sir (working on my Thor-speak). Though I don't think DC would really believe that either....it was just an in-the-moment embellishment.

So then how many high end tourney participants combined WOULD it take to equal the average skyfather?

Meh, the higher-end ones? Probably just 2, maybe 3, if they work well together. A prepped Thor with some battle gear that enhanced his attributes once took down Thanos (yup 🙂 ). So "base Thor", or "base {insert high-level tourney pick}" probably isn't as far as a lot of people seem to think from Thanos.

That was a clone, and that equipment was suped up extra by Odin.

Damn.

😬

...meh, wasn't planning on using it for the tourney anyway. My opinion stands though...Thor has decent showings against the real Thanos too...though obviously hasn't beaten him.

He said average skyfather. Not low low end (even though I dont think he should even be called skyfather) thanos. Two high end heralds are going to do nothing against a Skyfather 😬

It would take more than any ONE team to defeat a skyfather. Considering that Surfer got shot down in ONE shot by Odin, and he is considered the "best" herald leveler, I would say more than even two teams. Somewhere between three or four teams, and I could still say the Skyfather could take it at times 😬

Depends on the Skyfather really...

Oh, right. I was thinking of Thanos-level. It would take more than 2 to = a Skyfather. Maybe a couple teams.

Well, we should really get some kind of ruling on this from Batdude. Don't get me wrong I'm not complaining, I just want to get a better idea of the cap so I'll know how far my team can take things.

Not far enough to win 😈
