I was watching an old movie the other day, had Lana Turner in it, and it got me thinking: there were a lot of beautiful women back then. Yeah, maybe some of the styles weren't so flattering, and "sexiness" wasn't in-yer-face like it is today (not necessarily a good thing), but there's manufactured beauty, and then there's timeless...
Very. That was when actresses knew how they should be lit and the close up lighting was always a special event with the female stars. Iconic beauties... it reminds me of the old sculpting days.
But who wants to be like that now? Too many paperazzi, too many people just wanna be the nice girl next door etc.
