That law exist, sex offenders legally need to register themselves when moving into a new community and that information is publicly available. I checked out my neighborhood when I moved in last year and found out that there's a pederast living about 6 blocks from my house.

Other people who oppose it have been able to do so without making the pain and suffering of the victims and their families into a joke.

And that information is readily available, log onto the website of your local law enforcement agency and you can find it, names, addresses, crime(s) committed etc.
