Wait a second! That's two songs! Disallowed. Your list is now deemed invalid. Please come again.

The latter then, you cockwrangler.

That's better, Poopy Pants.

Also, I'd like to do a Bardock, and amend my list after the delightful 15-minute edit function has expired...

After careful consideration, I have realised I was a fool to choose Bo Rap as the best song of the 70s. That accolade's rightful owner is Three Little Birds by a man named Bob. Bob Marley.

Good, Wings for Marie is quite boring... hmm

To people with no attention span and appreciation, yes.

I chose the latter because it's the actual song, where as Wings is more of an extended introduction.

When they played it live recently, most people around me looked bored. I do rather despair of most people.

How is it, you mug.

I shall listen to it now and then decide for once and all and absolute and without a word standing against it whether it is boring, an extended introduction or just a fine song.

It just didn't really have much substance. It works well as an intro to 10,000 days though.

It's good. You are all haters.

It's just definitely not a contender for the best song of the decade.

I agree.

50s: love me tender by elvis presley.

60s: strawberry fields forever by the beatles

70s: imagine by john lennon

80s: lets dance by david bowie

90s: mmmm difficult. Maybe i want love by elton john.

I actually think Wings for Marie is a contender; moreso than 10,000 Days as well.

Weird, you are wrong.

It's not an option.

Hence why I consider it one complete song, two parts of the same whole.

As for it not being contendor for song of the decade, of course it is. Complete or either part on it's own. I'd just choose the latter.

You obviously just didn't click with it for whatever reason. It's ok, happens to lots of people.

Well, I've never really concentrated on it, as I only ever really listen to music while I'm doing other things. Maybe if I listen to it without distraction It'll click properly. I don't see any problem with you counting both of them into one decade in this thread though, as the track listing itself says that they are just different parts of Wings. Together I'd definitely class them as a contender, it was the highlight of their show when I say them live.

Re: Re: Best song from each decade?

Good list. I was tempted by Jailhouse Rock, Freebird, and Wonderwall when I made my list too.
