I am probably being partial, but the new releases form Japan, China, Korea and Thailand are way superior to American movies, in terms of plot, cinematography, cast and acting.
Examples are numerous:
The Ring Trillogy
The Eye
Cursed
The Grudge
A tale of Two Sisters

Hollywood is losing momentum.

I think its on the wane the influence on hollywood and besides most of those flicks are 3 years oldnow

It's not that they're better or worse, it's that they're different.

If you only ever watched Asian movies, you'd find them pretty repetative. Same goes for Hollywood. Also, you're only picking out some of the better horror movies. There's loads of crap that comes out here, too.

yup...thats true...but hollywood offers much more crap then the asian cinema...trust me on this!!!

Also Italian/French and German movies are better lately!

UK offers also very good movies lately....well have you watched severance!

America still has fantastic films, don't forget stuff outside of 'blockbuster' Hollywood too. America has amazing films and rubbish films, same for every other country.
