Birthday Poem to all Birthday shippers from Calypso.
This was written two weeks after DMC was released to a dear friend of mine, but you can insert your name in the blanks. Hope you like it.
Once upon a time, a priate tale began so unlikely in the year 2006,
A maiden named ________ became entrigued with a Pirate full of tricks.
Now, all that knew her thought her such a big priss,
Never thought she in her kind, sweet way would become a devout silent witness.
Now, Captain Jack Sparrow did use all his Pirate tools,
To defy the propriety of the Port Royal rules.
He befriended young sword-maker Will Turner,
And the comely Elizabeth, the governor's daughter.
The totally unlucky Pirate Captain Jack Sparrow did as he bade,
Up and down the East India Trading Company Caribbean routes of trade.
While navigating the Pearl to pillage and plunder along the sea routes,
Captain Jack managed to stay one wave away from the under-sea beastie's roots.
For the tortured life in Davy Jones's locker, brave Captain Jack, he had no longing,
Or his life condemned beneath the deep, dark waves with nary rum or song.
He sailed the Caribbean seas without much rum and a broken compass,
While he and his crew watched huge sea turtles and ate sea bass.
Yea, "No" he said to Davy Jones with squid-like features,
"I'll bargain away my life to 'The Kraken' sea creature,
To ensure ________ has her very special day,
Or, 'The Kraken", said beastie will just have to forfeit HIS life and pay."
