USH'S MATRIX GAME 2006 SECOND ASSIGNMENT- 'The Monastery'

Started by Captain REX105 pages

Ares bursts out on the balcony, MAC10 raised at the ready. Upon seeing the Agent blocking their way, he knows what the situation is, and takes aim, unloading onto the Agent with his most precise shots, to save his comrades and himself.

He gives a war cry as he charges forwards, aiming to move past the Agent with help from Azrael's own covering fire and whoever else decides that that Agent will be needing a new pair of shades.

Azrael opens fire on the Agent already on the balcony, giving San some space to retreat.

If any of the other Agents get too close, he splits his fire, aiming a gun at each of them.

Who is hefting whom off the balcony?

I call San!

Does it matter specifically? Just so long as people without AL make sure to latch on to people that do have it...

I suppose San and Ares, Fire and Mirage, and Azrael and Melis (yay for naming pairs off the top of my head).

Ok, well, I think it is timke we called the ball on this one.

Heph- best move on, time is running out. You do hear a little more as you go.

"It could also be used to try and determine what is behind the door," says the Agent.

"Oh no. As you say, that would be against our vows. Certainly not."

"Mind that you remember that, Monk. Those vows are subject to what you might call... 're-negotiation'..."

The fight at the balcony is brief but no longer disastrous. Enough gunfire gets into the area to give San a break, and enough of you are there to haul those who cannot make the jump over the bacony just as the rest of the Agents turn up.

You guys are now falling/sliding/rolling down a rocky slope, suffering a lot of cuts and bruises into the bargain. Above you, the Agents stand at the edge of the balcony and look down as one- but do not pursue.

Up top, Heph rejoins you guys at the very far east side of the Monastery, where a tiny window over the eastern incline- now no longer guarded since all the SWAT got sent to deal with Team Suicide- is your escape route.

We did it with no-one dying, and only two casulties - awesome!

Owww...but...we're out at least!

Hehe.

I think this is simultaneously the most disastrous and least disastrous assignment we've had yet...

I don't know, final assignment of last campaign, where it was just the two of us still alive and a load of agents after us? Seemed pretty bad to me.

Well then, it is thirty minutes later when the last of you rendezvous with the main ground on the wesr side of the mountain, nearly all of you in various states of pain, injury and bedragglement. Being stuck out in the Mountains with no escape route is not exactly adding to your day.

Dallas, of course, seems to ignore most of this.

"See?" he says, when the last of you turns out. "What do I keep saying, hmm? What do I keep saying?"

"What do you keep saying, Captain? I would try to remember it." -Melkor grins.

"Stick with Dallas and you'll be fine! Straight at'em. Works a charm. Last thing they expect."

"People don't always have surface to air missile launchers nearby," says Marduk.

"Hey, I'm not apologising for being smart."

"Well, I'm also sure no one expected THAT many Agents to turn up..." San says.

"It seems that they were going after the key, am I right? But we still have it, of course?" -Melkor seems quite excited by the recent events, though he is still a bit shocked that he almost was left for dead.

Balder rips off a piece of pant leg to wrap his arm. "How are we going to approach this one?"

"Yeah, of course," Heph says, tossing the Key idly from hand to hand.

Can Heph call Ariadne about what he heard with Lo Qi and the Agent?

Berserker is resting up against a rock. In a calm voice he says, "That was the easiest thing in the world right Dallas."

As he folds his hands together and closes his eyes.

"Well, I see that you guys are not big on humility? I think that it is quite a miracle that we are all alive." -Melkor laughs.

OOC: So part of the style of this game is for everyone to be badass? I envisioned Melkor as a bit of nerdy boy, actually.....

"Miracles don't exist. That was all luck, and we nearly ran out of it back there." Hawk sighs as he sits on a rock, then takes his goggles off his forehead and starts polishing them.

"Well, I just hope I never have to see that many Agents in one place again...or have to fall down the side of a mountain." San says. "What now, though? We're pretty much trapped up here..."
