"Indeed, I do."

"So that's what you really want to know, isn't it? What's behind that door? Should you go and open it up? Natural you should think about. Because no-one else will take any chances. You hide it, they'll come for you to find where you put it, and then kill you. From the moment you picked it up and took it away, you were locked into this. All of you."

"Then I suppose the natural thing to do is take the next step."

"And what would that be?"

"Find out where the door is, I suppose."

"And then?"

"Go to it...?"

"Not very decisive, are you? There's really only one thing you can do withn a door."

"Open it."

"That's right. A door is like a choice. You can open it or you can stay out. Of course, if you don't have the key, it's not a choice at all. But just because you do have the key, that doesn't mean you would have to go in. Would you do it?"

"You know me, I'm willing to try anything once," Heph chuckles. "I would do it."

"Of course, sometimes just once is all it takes and it is too late," says the Oracle. "Imagine a door on a street. It's locked, and on the front in big letters it says, Keep Out. Thousands of people walk past this door each day.

"Then say, one day, the key was left in the lock. And again, thousands of people walk by. How many of them would open the door? How many would not it if it was rumoured there was a huge stash of money in there? Or a cure for cancer?

"But what if it was actually a bomb?"

"Sometimes curiosity can overrule common sense. And the risk that it might be a bomb or it might be the cure for cancer is quite large. Get yourself killed, or save millions of lives."

"Well, I'd think about that. Because some of you are going to that door. But then, what I say really doesn't matter, because some of you have already made the choice to go in or not."

Berserker sits back looking at the faces of his friends he knows their all thinking the samething would they open the door if they were there.

"Heph you can also get everyone around you killed man. Anyways this seems to be going in circles if she isn't going to tell us where the door is then we're going to have to find it and how do we do that?"

I doubt you speak for everyone...

(Your right but I'm trying to play Berserker up a little bit he likes to share his opinion.)

"As ever."

Heph turns to Berserker.

"The Oracle has, so far, always let us know what we need to know. Not necessarily what we want to know, of course."

"No, not this time. This is specific, but still, some of you have made the choice without realising it.

"Tell me, any of you. The programmes you call Exiles. Why do you think they become what they are?"

"You mentioned that the changes can be made by themselves or by others," Mors says. "That means they, perhaps, do not wish to be what they were originally?"
