Who will grow up to be the Master of Disaster?

Dennis the Menace vs Calvin & Hobbes

Dennis the Menace and Calvin & Hobbes are in the same little seaside resort for their summer holidays. Meeting up, they quickly form a friendly rivalry and decide to have a competition, to see who can play the most pranks.

They each have a week, after which the scores are totalled up.

Points (out of 10) are awarded for:

#Property damage (in financial worth)

#Mental anguish (to innocent bystanders)

#Biggest hiding (by family)

#Most illegal.

So who takes it? Who becomes the instant hero of six-year olds everywhere?

#PS. Yeah, I know, it's not exactly Superman vs Thor, but on the other hand, I thought we could use a little break...

#PPS. I vote for Hobbes.

Hobbes is a beast (pun intended). Dennis would be tiger-food easily.

...of course, this is provided that it's the animated, snetient Hobbes, not the "stuffed toy" Hobbes that the parents see.

Of course, Calvin can also switch to one of his secret (multiple) identities, like Stupendous Man!

Or Spaceman Spiff, or Tracer Bullet - or change into a Tyrannosaurus Rex!

Actually, come to think of it, Dennis is a little bit overmatched and outnumbered here... 😂

transmogrifier, nuff said

British Dennis the menace comes along and pwns all of them.

Ha ha, I've forgotten about that! (The transmogrifier I mean.)

I guess the only thing to decide now is whether all these things are in Calvin's head (which of course gives Dennis the edge) or whether Calvin really CAN sell the Earth to aliens for a handful of leaves... 👽 😄

I dunno the Britis Dennis that well, I'm sorry to say...

Stupendous Man leaps into action, a crimson bolt bursts through the air and KAPWINGG!, Dennis the Menace (& Gnasher, for those from Britain) are no more.

So long kids. Always brush your teeth!

Cheers for the links Dreampanther. 😄

Can't believe Spiff could beat Stupendous Man tho. Suppose that's a debate for another time and place...

This seems more like a popularity contest so far than a real response to the question posed. Yes, Calvin & Hobbes is a better comic. But it doesn't mean I'll vote for Calvin and his doll.

A fight is one thing (I could see giving it going either way), but the question is about wrecking the neighborhood. That Dennis's whole MO. So he takes the prize and leaves Mr. Wilson, who unwittingly booked a vacation for the same resort, quaking in his boots.

You know - you might actually have a point... Come to think of it, I've never actually seen Calvin do something very destructive...

...however -he IS very good terrorising people, and he might quite conceivably do something very illegal, whilst rationalising it to himself... and of course, he has never given up TRYING to order explosives to blow Susie Derkins to the moon, or the school a bit further than that!

"actually?"
I've also seen Calvin be intimidated by Susie and back down sulking.

Now, if it was a competition for *imaginative* prank, I would give it to Calvin and Hobbes.
