Paradox?

I have a couple of questions I'd like answers to:

1) Can Superman break his own finger? Since he's supposedly indestructible and Superstrong, what would happen if he tried to break his index finger or any other part of himself?

2) If Superman jammed adamantium into his skin, a substance which supposedly cannot be stopped granted the force behind it is unyielding, could he make himself bleed?

3) Does Superman feel anything? I've noticed he flies in fire, shoots beams out of his eyes, yet he's impervious to the pain this would normally involve. Can he feel the pain, yet tolerate it? Or does he only feel things to a certain degree and no more?

Both of the 1st questions are outside the possibility of having kryptonite nearby.

What do you think?

I suppose that Superman can indeed break his own bones. We're able - so should he be.

The adamantium vs. Superman debate is old and tired. Adamantium may be a wonderfully strong metal, and maybe Doomsday could use Wolverine's claws to great effect as weapons, but Wolverine himself cannot.

The movies and comics have clearly stated that Superman feels pain. Being blasted my a blow torch doesn't cause him pain but he feels it.

As for Kryptonite, it seems clear to me that Superman is developing a resistance to K, as he should be.

Post Crisis comic book Superman has a forcefield, commonly called his biofield, which he has some mild degree of control over. This forcefield accounts for some percentage of his invulnerability and being probably psionic in nature most likely turns off, say when he wants to feel up Lois or something.

1) As far as I know, the answer is , yes, Superman can hurt himself. People of equal or greater strength can also hurt Superman. If Supes wanted to say do something simple like pull a hair out of his head HE could do it, but no one else could who was under his strength level.

2) Yes if HE or someone on or above his strength level thrusted an adamantium spike or whatever into him then it should cut / puncture him. People below his strength level however wouldn't be able to generate enough force to Pierce his skin. Think of it like trying to thrust a butter knife into a giant oak tree. technically the butter knife can cut it, and it wont break when your trying to thrust it in, but you cant generate enough force to actually get it to go in.

3) An interesting question. He feels things, but they just don't hurt him. Its a strange concept to understand though. Maybe he just feels flames as a kind of soft heat, none of which could actually ever cause him pain though.

3))You know when someone touches you or pokes you or something? You feel is but it doesn't hurt. I believe that is what Superman feels in these conditions.

like spider-sense tingling.
