How do you figure? I know Christian mythology; I used to be a Christian. There are parts of the teachings of Jesus that are true and revolutionary, but they are not new for his time. Jesus, ether on his own or by influence, taught basic concepts of “love your brother as you love yourself” and self-responsibility that are found in the writing of Buddha some 500 years earlier. Sure Jesus did not teach the principal of the three vehicles, but the Lotus sutra did away with the three vehicles and replaced it with the one vehicles; Buddahood. At the time of Jesus, the Lotus sutra was the primary teaching of Buddha, it was only later when the teachings moved East did other sutras come to dominate the Buddhist world. It is the Romans who introduced the Mithra like religion the later became the Orthodox church.
