It seems the fights is somehow going to spill into Times Square, where Typeface gets killed. So either the Anti's escape and fight again later, or there's going to be some teleporting happening.

I'm sure that's how Sentry will be dealt with.

It would be cool to see him fight Sentry, kind of as an allusion to the days when he'd school Thor. I'd REALLY love to find out that somewhere along the line he became immortal again, and kicks Sentry's blonde butt.

I would like the next one to open up with Daredevil stepping in front of the whole group and everyone going "uhh..." Then DD reveals he's IF and throws a quick Iron fist to knock down 1/4 of the pro registration side. that would be sweeeeeeeet.

anyone else think straczynski watches the boondocks? that whole "known knowns, unknown unknowns" thing was in an episode where riley and those hooligans try to rob the convenience store.

also, punisher refusing to fight cap is entirely too similar to an idea i had less than a month ago. i thought to myself, one day, "hey, joe. wouldn't it be interesting if a villain, one day, simply refused to fight the hero beating him because, perhaps, the villain idolized said hero? indeed it would." so thanks for stealing my thunder, millar. i hear you lick goats.

I like how Punisher doesn't seem bothered in the slightest that he gunned down two people who were about to HELP the Anti's .Heh

I'm really not seeing how Cap is going to win in this fight. Just look at that line-up of both teams...

If that fight was in the Versus forum, it'd be resolved with something like "Sentry speedblitzes them all" or "Sentry solos it"

Hell, Iron Man could take a out a good deal of that team by himself...and if Clor is actually there as well? Clor, IM, and Sentry take that whole team.

Civil War 6 was good. Lets see how it goes at 7.

I honestly think Sentry will be plot-deviced out. He'll most likely be teleported out but Wiccan or something. But there's still Doc Samson, Ms Marvel and Tony to name a few of the heavy hitters on the pro-reg side. I think (and kinda hope) that the anti-regs get beat down and that Tony will just use his 12 pardons to help out the more popular ones.

Marvel is doing well in this story by playing off the fact that neither side is totally right or wrong, so I can't see the fight being as one sided as it looks at the moment. I can see several plausible plot devices coming into play, combined with the possible intervention of more anti-regs who are in a stronger league. Namor maybe? Thor? I want to see Herc take down Clor, personally ✅

It seems kinda insulting that not only will the pro-regs win but that they use pardons to let off some of the anti-regs. It's unlikely that Cap will be let off because

a) He is the leader of the group
b) Doesn't he escape to Canada to Alpha or Omega Flight???

Plus nobody has mentioned the fact that both Cap and Spidey do amazingly well in these big group battles due to popularity. I mean look at the first Secret Wars. Cap fought onimpotent Doom and Spidey fought several X-men and won!!! It will be interesting to see them lose.

Actually I took into account the popularity of the Spidey and Cap but with Millar at the helm I don't things getting too ridiculous.

great issue, the next one should be brutal, especially with Strange predicting much bloosd shed.
Also madd props to Strange, even if he decided o stay neutral, that Watcher said he had the power to end the war with a gesture. Pretty powerful stuff.

Next issue should be awsome. Hopefully all loose ends will get resolved, including the issues left hanging from New Avengers first story arc. Ill post Punisher:War Journal # 2 later this afternoon.
