Ya i really don't think Cap and IM would be the last two standing according to the cover of CW #7. But I bet they just did that to represent the struggle. I think Spiderman would easily outlast Cap in a large-scale battle like that; IM is a different story, as he's quite a powerful guy, but as someone else said, a lot of anti-regs would be gunning for him.

Yea that is just a promo pic, not exactly the best indicator of what exactly goes down in the issue.

Ellis Thunderbolts run is off to a good start. I like how he seems to actually research the histories of the characters he's writing.

Interestingly Civil War # 7 comes out Feb.21 and if the whole line up will be revealed by Feb.8, then that means that we probably could figure out which side wins. Specially if Cap is not in it which could mean he is sent to jail.

I can't imagine them not giving Cap a pardon. The only question is will he take it? He won't give up easily.

On the other hand, if they locked him up there would be constant rescue missions.

We're not going to know the winner until issue 7 comes out. I think it's pretty clear they're going to have to push any spoiler-related issues connected to the war further after the final issue.

This is substantiated by the fact that the Spiderman "Back in Black" series has been pushed another month further... tisk tisk. But I guess it's worth it.

You would think they would reveal a character in New Avengers that has some marketability than Echo to get people excited.

Nope. Cap is one of Marvels flagship characters beside it wont serve no purpose killing him specially since it worked so well for DC killing Supes way back. Sending him to prison would be way more interesting but I hope it doesnt happen.

I think it has to do with the fact the for the most part we all knew she was going to be on the lineup anyway so he lead off what people already knew
