Super AdaptoidI think this a very good team. They have alot of versatility and power. Although they do lack a little in the speed department. Otherwise they are a very solid team.

A pretty good team. Blue supes is one the top enrgy manipulators in this tourney imo, and Silver Surfer who is a very good all around pick. I don't know much about Union so i can't say much about him howevr he really doesn't seem that impressive from what i have read and seen of him.Team rating

Thank you much, Blair. Lemme have a look around for a bit, and I'll tell you what I think.
Beta Ray Howard's tourney thoughts and such
Alright, here we go.
BW / DC - Trinity of Power
Blair: Black Alice
DC: All-Star Superman
Both: The Keeper
This is a team that packs an awesome offensive punch to it. Keeper is essentially Silver Surfer with the Quantum bands, All Star Superman is probably the best flying brick you could pick, and Black Alice is frankly a magical monster, capable of accesing some amazing powersets.
There is one problem that I see with this team, and that's if the opposing team can find a grouping of small openings in strategy, this team may get plowed. Now, I'm not gonna give away a method, but there probably is one there.
Overall, the theme of this team seems to be "The best defense is a good offense." In any comic battle, laying out a good offense can equal a good victory. Look at Hulk's record.
Lucid Lui / DevilLance - Australian Onslaught
DL - Quasar
LL - X-Man
Both - Mangog
This is a team of left field picks. To be honest, I was thinking to see a tourney full of Gods and Kryptonians, and this group is far from that. Boasting one of the most powerful psychics Marvel Earth has ever seen, combined with Quasar, whose power equals, if it isn't above, the Silver Surfer, and then theres Mangog. Three characters I wasn't expecting anyone to pick. This is essentially a defensive team, with Mangog being the big guns that can get in there and mess people up.
The only big problem I see with this team is that there may be too much defense to it. Though Mangog is as tough as they come, it may be difficult to defend against an onslaught of offense, like a team like Blair and Darkcrawler, or Trolly/King Kandy. Look for a lot of hard punches and tough barriers coming from this team.
trolly / King Kandy - Lights Out
Both: Fallen One
Trolly: He-Man
Kandy: Graviton
Speed and power is what this team posesses. You've got an incredible warrior whose strength has been compared to Pre-Crisis Superman, a Herald of Galactus, and a man who has wrestled with the Thunderbolts and the Avengers. This team has a LOT of power, and is similar to Lucid Lui and Devillance's team, except much more geared toward offense than defense.
The only problem I see with this team is that they have a limited number of strategies to go with here, and three characters that a lot of research and time planning will have to go into to take this tourney. If they apply themselves well, they've got an excellent shot at winning.
Roldz/Nino - Quicker than Lightning.
Nino: Superman Blue
Roldz: Union
Both: Surfer
Speed, speed, speed is all I can say about this team. Energy Supes is extremely fast, as are Union and Surfer, which can all mix it up either close range or at a distance, which gives them a huge versatility advantage. Essentially, prepare for a huge speedblitz coming from this side, because they've got it in oodles.
The only problem I see with this team is that speed can really kill a team. As the old saying goes, it's not the fall that kills you, but the sudden stop at the end. A team with a defensive strategy can just pick away at them slowly, and take it, unless Roldz and Nino can come up with a counter-strategy.
Souja/ MartianMind - Team "We Love Howard"
MM: Cpt. Atom
Souja: Juggernaut
Both: Beta Ray Bill
This is a team that I myself would have picked if I were in this tourney. You've got Captain Adam, who recently took out Majestros, and did it quick. You have Beta Ray Bill, who is the second person from Asgrad to leave a crack in Galactus, destoryed a planet with his power, and then had one blow up in his face, and just lose his shirt. Then there's the Juggernaut, b#tch! You cannot harm me! This dude is close to being a force of nature when he's at his peak. The main advantage, however, is that they both know these characters VERY well.
This team almost has no holes in it. It's got an excellent mix of offense and defense, and very tenacious members who have duked it out with the toughest heroes and villains out there, and came out smiling. If Souja and Martianmind play their cards right, this team is nigh unstoppable.
PR/Rewmac- Team Powerhouse
PR: Vulcan (Sway & Petra, no Darwin)
Both: Superman
Rew: Hal Jordan
This team is honestly hard to call. 🙁 Not a big fan of Darwin, and to be honest, I think he's overrated. Superman has mounds of feats, and is an awesome force, and Hal Jordan is probably my favorite GL, bringing experience and versatility to the table, along with raw power. This team can do some good damage if handled right.
The only problem is that this team can be screwed up rather easily. Vulcan is a newer character, and may have been a bad pick in the long run. 😬 However, he does have Superman and Hal Jordan to back him up, so a good strategy could give them an edge. This team does, however, have the best potential for a killer strategy. It's not the amount of soldiers, but the general who leads them that wins a war. (I think Sin Tzu said that in Art of War, or maybe it's in Machiavelli's The Prince.)
Bran / Darthgoober - Team Adaptation
Earth X Absorbing Man
Despero
Super-Adaptoid
This is a team of beasts, and that's not an exaggeration. The Super-Adaptoid and E-X Creel are quite possibly two of the most powerful characters in this tourney, and also possibly the most versatile. Then, there's despero. Not only is he incredibly powerful on a physical level, he is probably one of the most lethal team-killers out there (see Virtue and Vice).
To be honest, this is their tournament to lose. Bran and Goober are good buddies of mine, and are very smart guys. However, if they get overconfident, they can get mauled like there is quite literally no tomorrow. Also, if there's a team they can't adapt to, they're saying goodbye. Them going up against a team like Blair and DC's will be a real slobberknocker.
Digi / Scoob - Team Jenny Sparks is Hot (ran out of good names)
Digi: Adam Warlock
Scoob: Space Phantom
Both: Thor
Though I nearly wanna smack Scoob for picking Space Phantom (leave it to him to pick a random character), this team is also packing power and wisdom, ala Adam Warlock. This is a good team, to be honest. It's well balanced, and probably has some of the best possibilities just between Warlock and Thor, and adding Space Phantom could clinch it.
The one problem that I see with this team is that it's essentially a double-edged sword. Having two characters that most don't know about could work to their advantage, but the only problem is that it can hurt them as well. This is a team that may require the most research to pull out a strategy, but if well planned, they could take it home.

BRH is giving too much credit to all the teams. Reading each one, you'd think all 8 teams have a shot at winning. I agree that there's lots of strong teams, but there's really only about 4 legit title contenders in my mind (though there might be a surprise or two in my assessment).
To be honest, it all depends on the people using them. It's a basic lesson in comics that anyone can be defeated at any time, considering the fact that every character has a weakness. Saying that there's only four legit title contenders is selling people short, and to be honest is kind of an ass thing to do, Digi. 😬 I honestly wouldn't expect that from you.
