Is it possible to forge a Gmail chat log?

Is there ANY way for that conversation to get there without me having actually talked to that person, other than having two accounts and having a conversation with myself?

That is, is it possible for a Gmail chatlog to be faked, forged, and so on, yet still placed in the Gmail database? I'm positive it's not, but I would like some support on this.

SITUATION: Basically...

I have a conversation with person A on Gmail chat. Person A says said conversation NEVER happened, even though he knows it did. I say I have chatlogs, and that they're right there in the Gmail database, and he says I must have found some way to hack in or something and implant it there.

Person A is also a huge ****ing douchebag, by the way.

News & Questions forum?

I posted this in off topic simply because it gets more traffic and I would get more and more varied responses, while I'm posting there to get more tech-savvy opinions.

Trust me. The answers you would receive within the correct forum would be most sufficient and productive towards your cause.

Duplicate threads just annoy people, and posting in the proper forum is much more helpful.

The Computer/Video Games forum is not a computer help forum, btw.

Why don't you just copy/paste the entire conversation in Microsoft Word of Windows Notepad and save it?

Because it's possible to forge/type up a conversation like that. If it's not possible to simply fake Gmail's logs like that, then that's proof enough right there that I didn't make up anything.

Why not resort to cease talking to 'Person A'?

I'm not trying to prove anything to Person A, I'm trying to prove stuff to Person B, who isn't sure as to who to believe.

Well you are not going to be able to “prove” anything unless you can get the server logs from the site but any account can be hacked, spoofed or what ever.

No. There is no way a person could hack into this 'G Mail Database' and alter your stored conversations. Even if this task were possible, why would he or she proceed in doing so?

No idea. Thanks, everyone.
