Yes, thank you kmc, for making me like characters i never would have liked, and for convincing me to spend an obscene amount of money on comics... 😛

When I first came on this site I use to think Silver Surfer was Galactus's dad when it came to power. That’s just an example of how uninformed I was. When I was younger I would collect marvel cards, but never really read or new anything about comics aside from watching the X-Men cartoons, the cards, and all the Comic movies. Since then however, (contrary to some beliefs) I have attained a great deal of knowledge in regards to comics and characters b/c of this site and the vast amount of educated posters. So while I may not be a great debater, I’m glad that I found KMC, and had the privilege to acquire so much cool information which has led me to explore and examine the comic world for myself. Due to the KMC community I now read over 15 monthly titles which include:

I did, and thought about the Surfer exactly the way you have explained...
The cards, cartoons, movies. I attained most of my knowledge due to this site...
F*cking weird...

9. Hulk
10. Justice League of America
11. X-23
12. Amazing Spiderman
13. Cable and Deadpool
14. Civil War

Plus all the mini series that come out such as Illuminati, Civil War Tie-ins, etc... Basically, I am a comic freak now, and it really is all due to this site. Again, Thank you to all the people who contribute to keep this site going (you know who you are), and I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas.

P.S Use this thread for anyone who wishes to tell a story, say thank you, or add anything to what i just wrote.

...most are on KMC. It's not really something to be ashamed of.

Lemme see what my tally is for series I regularly read:

Marvel:
ASM
Ultimate SM
"Events" (CW, Annihiliation, etc.)
Ultimates
DD

DC:
JSA
Sandman (still slowly collecting all of them)
GLC
"Events" (IC, etc.)

Other:
Authority
Y - The Last Man
Invincible (just recently)

...meh, I guess I'm kinda split down the middle, both with the Big 2 and the Indie labels.

Yeah I actually found KMC thanks to the comic books section. I was looking up a random character I had seen on the JLU series called Atom Smasher and I found this place.

I had a limited knowledge of comics before I joined this forum. I used to think Thor was just a brick with a cool hammer, but now thanks to the many Superman vs Thor threads I know the true power of the Thunder God. I thank KMC for that and much more.

No Im not ashamed, I've been a marvel fan since the early 90's, thanks to KMC though I have really become interested in DC comics and Im slowly working my way into the DC Universe. I mean I've always been a fan of Superman and Batman, but there are some real badass characters in DC such as GL, MM, Red Tornado, Vixen, Arsenal etc... Takes time though cuz the DC Universe for some reason is more confusing to me with all the different Earths and so forth.

KMC is what got me into comics personally. I just thought it was really nerdy, and i found my dad's stash of wonder woman comics downstairs.... rofl...

but my husband (at the time I joined, fiance) introduced me to this place. Now I'm addicted.
