I did a little more research on my theory. The "Spears" suit of Tarot is sometimes called the "Wands" suit. Perhaps Ravenclaw's Horcrux could be Ravenclaw's wand?
And then I got to feeling really creative... what if Lily was in Ravenclaw? I mean, it never actually says what House she's in in the books, her wand was really good for charms work, remember? And Prof Sprout, the Head of Ravenclaw, is the Charms teacher.
So that would involve Lily in a big way, and would solve Ravenclaw's Horcrux.
And I'm getting really proud of my thinking skills... 😄

Yeah, Sprout is in Hufflepuff, but I still like your theory. That would very much involve Lily......plus, you're right, James was in Gryffindor but JK hasn't actually said what house Lily was from. At least, I don't recall it very saying that.

Whoops. a Mistype. I meant Flitwick. Oh pooh anyway. Well still, could Lily have inherited Ravenclaw's wand while being in Gryffindor? After all, it was "very swishy and good for Charms work."
