The Brothers were the total accumulation of EVERYTHING in their respective realms (Marvel & DC).

They were at the top of the food chain. LT and Spectre who are 2nd in power only to TOAA and The Presence, were AWED by the Brothers' power. They could do NOTHING to stop the Brothers.

The problem is....TOAA appointed and empowered the Living Tribunal to be the judge of the multiverse. The brothers had been slumbering long before the Tribunal ever received his charge to be the multiversal protector. The TOAA has to be a separate being. I don't know...maybe that is one reason why they retconned that storyline..lol.

Another thing....if the Brothers were the TOAA and the Presence...why would the LT and Spectre try to stop their bosses?

LT's job is to safeguard the multiverse in marvel, (don't know about spectre) and his boss threatend the multiverse thus he had to act.

Exactly and as the thread I posted explained. The retconn was inevitable as Marvel at least admit their Universe is in a state of constant change.

Hence why you can only ever post a debate about an event and not the whole Universe as a writer can change everything at a whim. eg A certain Negative one bug getting a giant upgrade recently and destroying Quasar.
