The bullets are specially designed to kill martians,They set them on fire from the inside out.Plus Jonn has met 5 other martians,Though one of them was killed.It turns out the martians have a traitor in their midst and that it seems scorch is awake and against him.Oh and as a downside it seems supes and bats are gonna take a crack at him soon.Plus the government is trying to recreate the plague that killed the martian populace.

Jonn should be kicking all types of ass, but he just gets totally outshone in most books he's in. Hopefully now he's joined the Outsiders (moan), he'll get some more respect.
