Cool folks in books and stuff ~need I say more~

This is a thread about really cool dudes and dudettes in books (and stuff...but mostly books. Actually only books). Like who is sooooo cool that you actually find them that. Should I make a Satan joke? It would probably revolve around it being hot in hell. Hmm, nah, too much work, so, lets get to it.

Jim Casy - The Grapes of Wrath - John Steinbeck:

Well, he just rocks. Cause he thinks and stuff. A lot. And his thoughts are good. And...Bruce Springsteen sang about him: "Preacher lights up a butt and takes a drag. Waitin' for when the last shall be first and the first shall be last"

"Maybe there ain't no sin and there ain't no virtue, they's just what people does. Some things folks do is nice and some ain't so nice, and that's all any man's got a right to say. "

Anyways, he deserves to be on the cool list. Yeah.

Jubal Harshaw - Stranger in a Strange Land - Robert Heinlein

Also one of them cool thinkers. Like his moral ideas. Heinlein oftentimes has these really cool old characters. Like also...

Professor Bernardo de la Paz - The Moon is a Harsh Mistress - Robert Heinlein:

He describes himself as a rational anarchist, which is just the coolest thing I have ever heard. He also pwns Earth soo bad its not even funny. Good guy. Good guy.

The masturbating Dragons - Deltora Quest - The person that wrote Deltora Quest:

Society wants them to not touch themselves, but they won't have any of it.

FREE DRAGON MASTURBATION!!!

And last for now, and I realize it is all very limited yet, though that might change

Young Tom Joad - The Grapes of Wrath - John Steinbeck:

He killed a guy with a shovel. A SHOVEL.

"Mom, wherever there's a cop beatin' a guy
Wherever a hungry newborn baby cries
Where there's a fight 'gainst the blood and hatred in the air
Look for me Mom I'll be there
Wherever there's somebody fightin' for a place to stand
Or decent job or a helpin' hand
Wherever somebody's strugglin' to be free
Look in their eyes Mom you'll see me."

Anyways, does any of you have the hots for a really cool character, I mean...so cool that even the devil himself would prefer to wear a fur coat (which by the way is no problem (cause all the cute puppies don't have souls (which means they go to hell (which means he can skin them and wear their fur as coat (I did it I made a hell joke (cause it's hot in hell)))))) ...I mean anyone that you'd bet you'd let get set in your pants if you'd just met, yet?

I must be going blind because I did not see Holden Caulfield

I totally had the hots for Brutus in Julius Ceaser.

Brutus is stupid and easy to manipulate

meh to holden caulfield. his whole character can be summed up in "they're just such phonies...it kiiiillllllllls me."

Very deserving. You may add.

That Main Character Girl in Twilight-she's a keeper 😉 🙂

Add Mace Windu too.

Jay Gatsby.

Leopold Bloom.

Hannibal Lecter.

I guess Mr. Gatz is a cool idol if you plan on get killed by some depressed man who can't control his wife.

I am probably slightly against it.

Oh, yeah...A big snap to Ignatius, that guy's cool. Also, I support VD in his support of Bloom and Gatsby. Them cool, too.

I would like to add Hand from You Shall Know Our Velocity, as he says funny things that make me laugh in my mind and my testicles. Also worthy of a mention is that Hamlet dude and Iago for being a bad-ass. Plus, we gotta mention Marlow from Heart Of Darkness and Yossarian from Catch-twoty-two.

OK, I'm done for now, but I'll come back and flirt later.
