Oh hell no. Dude, most of the Black/Death/Punk Metal guitarists I work with can't even read notes let alone know shit about Guitar Theory. Some people just have the natural flow of music in them. I honestly believe that education has nothing to do with music. Music comes from the gut/heart of a person, not the brain.
