Boring trailer. Looks like an episode of CSI, with all that jittery camera work, editing and colour film switching - not like the gliding elegance of John Carpenter's camerawork, which built suspense gradually instead of forcing it down our throats.
Casting a name actor like Tyler Mane as Michael is distracting. An unknown would be better than a 6'10 giant out of X-MEN and TROY.
looks like just another remake for the kids
another remake that will be thrown on the already forgotton pile alongside The Fog,The Hitcher,The Omen,The Wickerman.........zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
so much for the new wave of Horror directors
i read today they are remaking THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL
KLAATU,BARADA...**** OFF!

I just watched the trailer.I think it looks very good. But, I'm not sure how I feel about the new mask. It's cool...But I definately prefer the classic. Oh, by the way...long time no post...its definately been a while for me...
I think that this movie does not need to be made. The original is timeless, IMO.
Inevitably, though, the era of remakes is abroad, and if it has to be remade, I'm glad it's in Rob Zombie's hands. He could do it justice.
I'd still rather it not be done at all, though.
Trailer:
No, NO No. Halloween is good as it was, originally. Before they started making Michael let all the celebrities (e.g.: Cuba Gooding Jr) stay alive. Before they started making gigantic posters with Jamie Lee Curtis´ face on it only to have her - after however many movies - get killed within the first ten minutes. Before they started adding Tyra Banks to the cast and later on denying the audience the joy of seeing how exactly she died. Before they started adding Big Brother to Halloween. Before they had women jumping out of windows only to faint ten seconds later (Halloween 6). Guys, I think any Halloween movie after part 5 (and even there I am not sure about consistency with the original story) sucks. By the way, could anybody clearify for me whether Jamie Loyd is the little sister / cousin / or niece of Michael Meyers? Cause I am still confused there. Anyway I don´t wish for Halloween 9, I mean Jamie Lee Curtis is dead. Michael´s House is burned down. They won´t have the cash to have Josh Hartnett revisit his part as Michaels nephew. Leave it. A Halloween remake...ähm, no, please not. PLEASE. You know, if you see the grave of a renowned celebrity, you - if you´are sane - bring some flowers, keep that person in your memory and leave, you don´t dig that person out. it´s similiar with that movie. The worst thing about it is, I´d probably still go out and see the remake in despairing hopes of it being actually good.

Give the remake a chance, it looks to be quite good, and possibily the best remake of this damn remake era.
Jamie was Michael's neice, she is the daughter of Laurie.
