relationships are a bad idea? depends on the two parties involved. truthfully, there is a whole lot more to it than i thought. every time i think i am up to date on what it takes to make a relationship last, i am thrown a curve ball.

I prefer the freedom that comes of a life without relationships.

so did i, but being with the right woman is better than that in every possible way. sure, every once in a while i am like "what the hell is that?" or "you did what?"....but......you just have to roll with the punches, adapt, improvise and overcome.

shes not my wife. we have an agreement that one day, IF we are both ready, and we are still together, then we will marry. we are both more comfortable like this. it's kinda like a pending engagement.

That's another thing I've never really understood.

Being proud of that, as if it somehow makes you a better boyfriend to be a walkover.

Nope, not as a boyfriend, but as a partner. And if you're not a walk-over, she'll make you one eventually. 😉

Was that a joke also? Or do you actually believe being a walkover (As in, the biggest possible opposite of PARTNER.) can aid a relationship?

Remember, there's a difference between compromise and walkover.
