Gods and Sorcerers mainly. Lizard Men, Spider People etc. and he never needs a team.

No not really, most of the ones that Cap went against were not foot soldiers on the battle field but Special Forces and extremely trained. Why would you send your super solider against foot soldiers. If Conan went against Ghost Rider he would be owned because a sword isn’t going to do squat against him, the demons and gods that he normally fights are able to be hurt by normal means.
Exactly! Conan hasn't beaten anyone Captain America woudn't beat under the same conditions.

Caps usual opponents are also often a group of guards. Interestingly in Howards books and in faithful comic renditions like early marvel and Busieks Darkhorse stuff, he hardly ever had an entourage. Nah, Cap never beats Wizards like Kulan Gath, Baron Blood is enough magic to cause him huge problems.
