I don't think there's anything wrong with gay or racist jokes. Jokes are jokes, you can't help how they're taken by the person listening to them. If some people are offended, well that is just too bad.

But the operative word in this discussion is 'joke'. People on this board make gay jokes all the time. I see a hell of a lot less racist jokes. But I'm not offended. The only time I get offended is when some truely ignorant person comes on here and pretends to be young and stupid, makes belittleing comments about race or sexuality and is allowed to do so again and again, ad nauseum. Also, racism is expressed by several members on this forum all the time. The only problem is that they're not white...so it's tolerated.

Racist and Gay jokes have always been hilarious and always will be hilarious, regardless of whether or not the person intends humor or actual offense.

But then you go and make Gay jokes, and it's all good....

You can't have it both ways....if you think it's wrong to be prejudice, then it's wrong to be prejudice period...it can't be wrong to be prejudice against black people, but a-okay to be prejudice against gay people...
