damn that female Na'vi looked so genuine when she was crying.;

And i loved the "this is great.." part. It looks so ...real, lol!

i imagine what the 3d might be like at times. or how i'd like it to be like.

for example the part where alien Sam had all those alien blue fire files floating all around him as he just looked on with amazement with his arm kinda out, i imagine, during that scene, those things flying behind theatre audiences, as much as in front of them.

like if you'd turned around in your seat to look you see a few of 'em floating by...

🍺 Dont know what all the hype is about this movie, I find 3D annoying, anyway

Well it is Cameron he does know how to push special effects to the next level and also have a decent movie along with it.

I don't know, i'd like to think the 3-D in Avatar will be groundbreaking, i doubt it will be groundbreaking but i think the majority of the hype stems from Cameron returning to making films. This movie should actually be great to watch in Imax 3-d since it was shot on film for Imax.

and Cameron usually does push the Special Effects in his movies just take a look at T2 back in the day.

I have a very good feeling about this movie and have confidence in James Camron. I believe he's made a great film.

Looks too much like Star Wars or, somewhat hypothetically, Braveheart in space (I'll entertain that idea a while longer) for me. Was hoping for some hard science fiction from James Cameron.

this does look like hard sci fi.

and it at least looks better than anything sci fi that's been out, for years.

Braveheart on Baudrillard pills doesn't look like hard science fiction at all to me. Of course, this is just the trailer, but it's not winning me over.

I'm not sure why you would say it looks better than any science fiction that has come out for years: we've had three very good science fiction films this year and one of them, Moon, is probably the best I've seen in years. Not holding out for Avatar, sorry, Papyrus 🙂.

The trailer had me really pumped until Sam Worthington actually became his Avatar, then it looked kind of cheesy; the Na'vi look kind of lame... Obviously I'll still go see this, should be a fun ride/enjoyable cinematic experience if nothing else.

I really don't know why people are bothering looking at stuff online for this movie. It wont even begin to give you an idea of what it will actually be like on the big screen.

Because people always watch movie trailers for upcoming movies. I don't see how this one's an exception. I know it's in IMAX/3D, but still...

i meant visually. we know the story's gonna be good cause Cameron's directing it.

and i never heard of "Moon". i'll check into it..

Looks all right. Will do it for the impressive looking action scenes but beyond that, i'm not particularly fond of the whole "noble savage" routine.
