The Crypto-Man was claimed to have fully half Thor's strength. That power was doubled... and increased further. The Hulk smashed him with just a few shots after Jarella was injured.

Lets put it this way Hulk walks up She Hulk Betty Doc Samson and Rick Jones and there dying and in extreme pain they tell Hulk they where tortured by Despero there crying and Hulk is getting angrer by the second and then they die. Your telling me Despero would beat that version of Hulk. Because one he is wanting to rip Despero apart he is already enraged and when he finds and see Despero he going to even more pissed off.
