Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru.

What do you think of them? What did Luke think of them? He probably despised them for holding him back but when he was offscreen Uncle Owen pointed out how he wanted to make things up to him etc. I think they're the most underrated characters in the movies and are really the first human characters we were introduced to and got to properly know in the trilogy and deserve more recognition and discussion. Your thoughts on them?

I liked them in them OT. PT, not so much. 😬

Since we saw them in a combined total of like 8 minutes in ANH before they fried, I really don't care too much about them.

Ahh, but if they hadnt gone and got themselves killed then Luke would never have left Tatooine, joined the Alliance, destroyed the Death Star, received Jedi traning and killed Darth Vader. 😛

I like them
classic characters
as a kid i thought Owen was nearly as intimidating as Vader!

Indeed.... another mean MOFO

Owen and Beru were decent characters for the screen time they had.
I would assume Luke loved them- they were the closest thing to parents he had.
And I liked the way Lucas fit them into the PT to explain who they were and their
connection to Luke.

even though we are now left with the biggest coincidence in movie history

Another one.

What do you mean.

C3p0s magnicent journey back to his place of origin

Yeah... terrible.

It's Star Wars people, anything can happen

Unfortunately.

Yeah

Maybe it was the Force....

I don't see it as a problem myself.

Owen is holding Luke back IMO.

The Force works in mysterious ways.

In midichlorian ways

I don't like that word, couldn't they have thought of any other word besides "midichlorians"
