I highly doubt this isn't breaking any rules of the board, so basically with that logic I could make any comment I want and hope no one clicks the thread? How do you know if they are breaking the rules or not if you don't click the link?

Well, that's just ignorant.

Humans will naturally disrespect what they believe to be mythos. They will also naturally poke fun at something that is viewed as controversial, just to see the ignorant get so riled up by what amounts to nothing.

Should a poster go into every asgardian thread there is and ***** and moan if he truly believed in asgardian mythos? No. And, believe it or not, we have at least one poster who does ascribe to such a religion.

This was made in bad taste, I'll admit. But for anyone to hold to themselves so strongly a belief that any mentioning in passing, joking, or even outright disrespect towards it is met with utter opposition, hate, and anger?

Admittedly, the things that Manatee is posting are quite a bit more offensive than necessary.

The initial purpose of the thread, which we must also take into account, was not to admonish any belief system, or to make fun of any iconic figurehead of religious mythos. It was to point out and make fun of the Hulk fanboys arguing that the Hulk is a god. Take into account the original purpose, and try to ignore the people who are being purposely inflammatory.
