It won't be Barack. I honestly don't think it will. That would be "cool", but I really don't think it will be.

Same here. I would be jazzed if he won. But he simply won't. Same for Hillary. It will be one of the clean-cut upper-middle class white guys (Nothing wrong with being white. I'm just saying... )
In a poll by CBS News, 92% said they would vote for a qualified woman, and 55% said they think America is ready for a woman president.
And in a poll by Newsweek, 93% said they'd vote for a qualified black candidate while 56% said that they think America is ready for a black President.
You're on the wrong side of the fence, my friend 😬

Well, jeez, if you want him to win go out and campaign for him instead of whining how its not going to be him.

Out of 200 Million+, how much people did they ask?And c'mon, I doubt very many people will say on NATIONAL TV that they wouldn't vote for a black or women president, simply because of they're race and gender. Their are a lot of closet racists out there.
The polls are representative. There ARE a lot of closet racists, but remember you only need a majority to win, not 93%.
Honestly, the Democrats have needed a change in strategy. Emanuel has been enforcing it. They have oa candidate with Obama.
Stangelove needs to accept that Hillary = Same Old Game...power grabbing white people. Obama wants to change politics. People will listen to that.
Anyway...Chicago is owning this election. <<< New Democratic capitol of the US.

What Obama supporters need to realize is that Clinton is an advocate of change as well. Maybe not in the same way that Obama is, but I can safely say that she is not for "politics as usual". Obama supporters just don't want to acknowledge it because change is Obama's only platform. Beyond his admittedly stellar skills as an orator and, to quote John Edwards, "high fallutin language", Obama has yet to impress me. He has not demonstrated that he has the stuff to run our country. And like I said, maybe he'll prove me wrong. But until then, I'm sticking with my gal.
But still, I would like to avoid this inter-party mudslinging. Bottom line, I want a Democrat elected to the White House in 2008. If Obama wins the nomination, I will vote for him. Same for Richardson. Same for Biden. Same for Dodd. Any of them are preferable to any of the Republican candidates. Hell, I'd vote for Kucinich.
My question for you, Alliance, is if Hillary Clinton wins the nomination, will you vote for her? If the answer is yes, then we have little to disagree about.

Originally posted by AllianceYou fail to realize that Obama is now also part of the establishment. As a U.S. Senator, how is he any less a part of the establishment than Sen. Clinton?
My point is, how credible is change from within the establishment?
I don't think, imo, that you are informed enough on Obama. However, I guess if you want more Bush-like presidents who don't have the power to visualize the future, or to inspire people, or to present GOALS for society over petty specialist agendas, I can see why you like Clinton.Think what you want about my level of informed-ness on Obama, but you know nothing about Clinton from what I can see. And you don't call that mudslinging? Come on 😬

Can you honestly look at anyone in the Republican field, announced or not, and say that they are preferable to any of the Democrats?
I'll agree with you about Edwards though.
