The writer for the period also had a thing for introducing gay characters in every book he had written and stated he was going to officially out Firelord. But it never took place. Firelord's not officially out but it's pretty damn close.

Had he used all his power, it's an easy win. But yeah, I think H2H, Spidey's better....it's not really that blasphemous. Parker needed about 3 plot devices to do it (subway car smashing FL, exploding gas station, etc.) but FL wasn't written out of character.
