I'm sorry, but I have to be nit-picky here. Are you not from the USA? If you're not and you've run into some unsavory Americans, I apologize for that, but there are many reserved, well-spoken, well-read, and well-bred Americans, too, and I just hate the stereotype that Americans are stupid and superficial when quite a few of us, myself included, take great enjoyment in literature and art and music and....POTC.
