New time on end of world

I found this kind of interesting, how humanity can be so close to the end. The closest it has ever been is 12:58. I just wanted to hear some opinions on this and what they think

To give it more of a religious feel I will say I prefer it if humanity is to be destroyed one day it is because of natural events, or falling on our own sword rather then some predetermined act of an angry God.

But slightly more seriously, while an interesting concept, I don't think we are really so much closer to then "end" now then before they moved the hands a bit closer to twelve. Especially as it was partly influenced by N. Korea's demo.
