IT has never been stated that he uses Psi power to take over people's body either has it? ONe can reasonably assume it's mystich since he dind't get this ability until after he dipped in the MYSTICH flame of pytar. And since it takes High tier supernatural force to remove him, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that it's not a telepathic take over but a spiritual one.

No, one can reasonably assume that since he's always had psi abilities, and the Flame increased those abilities, that his enhanced psi abilities are what enables him to take over people like he does. The fact that the enhancement came from a mystic source doesn't automatically make his abilities mystical. Loki has increased the psychic powers also with magic, but they still weren't "Magical" powers, they where psychic powers.

And once again, Shadowking takes over people just like Despero does, so I don't consider it a stretch for Despero to be using psychic powers to do it. Don't get me wrong I realize it could be either, but since it hasn't actually been established that Despero uses some "mystical" method of taking people over, it's speculation to assume that he does just to give him a win against Thanos.
And while I'm thinking about it, when has he taken over the body of someone on Thanos's level of ability?

Despero himself is the Thanos lvl being in the DCU. So who exactly would be take over when there is no one like thanos in DC? everyone is under thanos or superior to thanos. Maybe Desaad is on thanos' lvl since he can impersonate DS good enough. But I can't think of anyone in DC but Despero on Thanos lvl. ANd while I'm at it, I have to look up the exact nature of the shadow kings power. He may have some mystich ties in it as well. But he definitely takes over someone's mind. Despero takes over someone's body. He kicks thier soul to the side line. I think there is a difference.

I said MAYBE Dessaad is a match since he was able to impersonate DS and closely mimmick his powers to a lessor effect. Which is what Thanos is. a Watered down mimmick of DS. DS was even able to mimmick the Omega beams. I was only speculating due to the nature of the conversation about who in DC would even be a match for THanos other than Desepero.
Despero isn't a match for Thanos. Despero isn't Thanos level.
Thanos has shown better destructive power. Better telepathy. Better strength. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better durability. Better smarts. Better skills. Better EVERYTHING.
You have failed to show ANY sort of proof that Despero either exceeds or matches Thanos there. He doesn't. He is weaker.
It is sad that you or dvampire can't realize that Despero WILL be beaten by someone who is above him in EVERYTHING you can name.

The answer to that is something that everybody already knows - Darkseid himself. You refuse to acknowledge that, but most people recognize it.
Darkseid pulled ahead with the ALE, but before that he was roughly on Thanos' level. Both Darkseid and Thanos have taken over their respective multiverses before in the past and gave it up. Darkseid entered the source, Thanos obtained the HOTU. Both have insane durability, both use clones or avatars, and Thanos was able to one-shot most of his clones when fighting them. Other characters in Marvel had to struggle to beat his clones. So Desaad is less than Darkseid, who is roughly on par with Thanos.
So ask yourself this - could Despero beat Darkseid? I didn't think so either.

That doesn't fly with me. Since DS has far better feats of Displays of power on his own. his very fights with Highfather have shaken the cosmos. He was able to one shot Earth Angel Supergirl who would be a match for thanos. DS was never roughly equal to thanos in actual power. The fire pits of apoc themselves are an extention of his power. And Said desaad might be a match for Thanos considering he can pretend to be DS so well that no one even knew. Meaning he had to disply awesome power. As far as Despero, Thanos is Superior To Despero in brains and Prep. Certainly not strength or Tp. There is nothing to suggest either of those. ONe more thing, Despero Easily beats beings like Superman and CM all the time. So what in heaven's name makes anyone think Thanos would have an easy time with Despero? That just doesn't make sense at all. NOT at all.

Yes, better TP. And even if he didn't, I don't see Despero hanging with Tyrant, or owning guys like Surfer, or outsmarting gods, or owning high level cosmics like Maker (AKA Post-retcon Beyonder! 😱 ) . Thanos is just more powerful, more durable, more intelligent, more tactical, and a far supeior character. He beats Despero down the same way he beats down Morg, Surfer, Drax, Thor, etc. With an evil smile and a pimpslap to the face. He doesn't even have to try, just slap Despero around send him to the kitchen. "Make me a sammich, *****!" 😆
I'm partly kidding of course. Despero will put up a decent fight, but he's not gonna win, nor is he going to hurt Thanos much. And after awhile, Thanos will get bored and just one shot him.
