😆I thought The Celestials were far below things such as Eternity and LT?
they're below Galactus too, no?
Good Morning 🙂
In GOTG, Scathan the Approver(Earth-691) is above Eternity
LT=Scathan>Eternity. Scathan is the most powerful Celestial
IMHO, Celestials>Galactus. Eternity/Death/Galactus are 'brothers'.
Its a good debate between Celestials and Galactus. Giffen's take on Galactus, he's the most powerful being. Gaiman's Eternals states Tiamut, the Dreaming Celestial is the most dangerous thing on Earth

I'm just acquiring scraps of knowledge regarding the upper orders of Marvel's universe, from conversations/threads here and also from a few of the comics I'm reading (going over the Onslaught Reborn and the Heroes Reborn comics right now), so I guess my questions and presumptions are still rather elementary.
aren't The Celestials born of this universe?
I always assumed that Galactus was the only being to survive the previous universe and the big bang that brought about this one. that The Celestials like Elders and Eternals etc etc were all the result of this universe?
it's from that framework I tend to see Celestials as being powers that are ultimately circumspect, having a definitive origin and boundary, compared to things like the Abstracts and Galactus who by their origins and by their function are transcendent ...
anyway, I'd like to know a lot more about their backgrounds. I'm enjoying the whole Ashema-Franklin interplay in Onslaught Reborn and Heroes Reborn, but I know it's all old stuff now and probably has been 'retconned' or otherwise diminished.
also, what about the rumour that Galactus will become a Celestial when he, eventually, dies?
does that mean that the Proemial gods, T&A etc, are also merely Celestials in the making?

Yes the Celestials > Galactus there are like what a universe full of Celestials.
On three accounts Galactus has been described by the narrator as the most powerful physical being in existance 🙂 take that guy 😛

Good points, my friend
I will add a few more
Galan merged with the previous Eternity becoming Galactus. Eternity/Death/Galactus are the same age. Known in the old books as 'Brothers'.
I asked this very question about the Celestials. Who are they? Beings of energy encased in armour. Sounds like Galactus 🙂
Eternity is said to have created the Celestials. There's a theory about the Absolutes
Each Celestial has a different function. Scathan the Approver. Arishem is the Judge. Exitar is the Exterminator. Ziran is the Tester. Jemiah is the Analyzer.
Heroes Reborn featured Frankie Richards and Ashema the Listener. During Earth X, Franklin Richards is Galactus. Franklin has also been been Avatar and Psi Lord. Very powerful mutant with vast reality warping powers. In Heroes Reborn, Frankie=1 Celestial. During the Abraxas saga, Frankie and his sister Valera helped Galactus
FF Annual #26. Galactus will become a Celestial
Galactus defeated the Proemial Gods and imprisioned Tenebrous and Aegis in the Kyln. When Lord Annihilus sundered the Kyln, they were freed and got their revenge on Galactus. One of the Proemial Gods, Brio looks like a Celestial

There's over ten billion Celestials
Awww, but Gaiman's Eternals came out after Annihilation. So, Tiamut has the last statement 😄
We all can agree, Galactus is a force. Celestials as a group are badass
