Psychic Surgery on a Fury

Astonishing X-Men: Xenogenesis 5

(16th February 2011)
Writer: Warren Ellis
Artist: Kaare Andrews

She manages to perform psychic surgery on a Fury. She's modfies it's mind so that it thinks that there's nothing in this dimension that way it can go back and tell it's peers that there's no point in invading this dimension. She has a massive migraine afterwards, she describes it like having germans dancing around her brain.

Heh. Looks like the sixth image was way too hard-core for ImageShack.

Or is it only I who get it blocked?

Durability Feat

Uncanny X-Men 533

(23rd February 2011)
Writer: Matt Fraction and Kieron Gillen
Artist: Greg Land

Shaw is amped. He fell out of EVA, plummeted to Earth and soaked up all that Kinetic Energy. Shaw amps up all his physical stats, his faster, stronger etc..Emma's Diamond Body can withstand that. Also, just to note, in this arc it's revealed that Emma is afraid of Shaw. She panics when he starts charging at her and that is why her powers don't work on him. Her powers have been shown to work on him before in previous arcs and in this very arc by the same writers. She quickly changes back to Diamond Form to avoid being crushed. Will see what happens in the next issue.

Remember that Scarred Tissue incident?

Well Emma can enter Wolverine's mind here. She gets attacked by a bunch of demons when she enters it though as he's possessed. Anyway the point of this is to show that here's another instance where she enters it. Also, she will try again in issue 8 when all the other X-Women show up so we'll see what happens then.

That is some horrific art.

Emma/Elektra?

Whoa. Telepathy can be hardcore at times.

X-Men as Heroes

The X-Men are tracking down two people who claim to have a device that can trigger earthquakes. (They don't actually, they have an earthquake reader type thing).

Anyway here are some minor feats from the issue:

Uncanny X-Men 534.1

(6th April 2011)
Writer: Kieron Gillen
Artist: Carlos Pacheco

Simple mind surface scan of the PR women and her photographer as they enter Utopia. Safety measure. I thought the scene was funny. So posting it.

Anyway here's Emma tracking truck through San Francisco using memories of random bystanders who may have seen it. This event happened earlier on in the day so she's it is sort of impressive that she can filter people out that quickly.

Here the X-Men capture the men, they're Psi-shielded. Wolverine makes them talk. They admit that they don't have a machine that can cause Earthquakes, it's only a reader. Emma then warns everyone in San Francisco that an Earthquake is going to hit. (Magneto's helmet blocks out her warning.)

Erasing Shaws mind

Uncanny X-Men 534

(23rd March 2011)
Writer: Kieron Gillen and Matt Fraction
Artist: Paul Renaud and Greg Land

The conclusion to the Emma/Shaw fight. Emma lets Shaw hit her far enough so she can change out of Diamond and then mentally trick him into thinking he got what he wanted. She then snuffs out his mind. He remembers nothing.

X-Women vs. Hellverine

Emma senses Namor blood boiling as he loses to Hellverine. She contacts Nemesis and Jeffries. The X-Women arrive. She insults them...but agrees to help. Storm agrees to keep Hellverine on the island, cause if he strays too far she might lose the connection, while Emma and the other X-Women enter his mind. It could leave them vegetables but she does it anyway. They seem to be doing an alright job in killing all those demons that have possessed him.

House of M

Not sure if I posted this, I don't think I did. Anyway Strange and Emma protect the mutants in the vicinity from Wanda's spell.

House of M 8

(2nd November 2005)
Writer: Brian Michael Bendis
Artist: Olivier Coipel

Emma appears in this Japanese X Men anime that started recently. Though the URL and embedder functions aren't working on my computer for some reason, i can at least fill you in on some of her feats in the plot. Spolier warning just in case.

Spoiler:
She's a telepath and a former member of the Hellfire club, who was hired by Hisako's parents to train her to control her powers. When Hisako went missing, Emma rushes to save her, but gets captured by a bunch of Cyborgs because TP doesn't work on them. She is released by the X Men but they don't trust her because Cyclops thinks that she's the one who drove Jean crazy prior to the series. They release Hisako and Emma tells them about how hisako's parents hired her (side note, apparently she would comunicate with Hisako, who was in japan, from Nanbei.) They are attacked by some of the U-men's cyborgs and Storm leads Emma and Hisako to safety. Emma tells hisako to face reality. when the rest of the X Men are done with the cyborgs, they attempt to escape. As they stray from the main corridors Emma notes that some power supressors have just lifted and that the head U Man is gathering data on their powers. When they confront the head U Man, who wants to collect their organs to get more power, Emma tries to stop him with TP but it fails as he's lost his grip on sanity. She tries to defend Hisako, but Hisako instead defends Emma and defeats the crazy guy with her armour. However, as she's not used to her powers, she loses control. Cyclops tries to talk her out of it, but is knocked aside by the out of control Hisako. Emma uses her powers and her bond with Hisako to calm her and gets her to power down. Storm notes that she's a good teacher, but Cyclops thinks that as she's a telepath she could have decieved them all. later after the X Men release all the imprisioned mutants in the facility, crazy organ guy turns up and tries to shoot Hisako but Emma jumps in the way, and that's where the episode ends. The preview for the next episode says that there's something strange happening to emma's body and the title is "Secondary Mutation" so i'm guessing that Emma gets her diamond form in the next episode.

Age of X

New Mutants 24

(27th November 2011)
Writer: Mike Carey
Artist: Steve Kurth

There are a few things that need to be said about this.

First, Emma Frost, Charles Xavier and the Stepford Cuckoos were locked up and drugged during Legions warp because they were they would have saw through Legions fake world immediately. Rachel Grey some what, Karma, Chamber and Psylocke were "psi's" that fell for the warp.

Here Xavier, Emma and Cuckoos help the 100's of people caught in the warp reclaim their memories. Legion built centuries worth of memories in each one...they root out the false ones.

Also Emma/Frenzy scene.

Age of X - Aftermath

X-Men Legacy 248

(11th May 2011)
Writer: Mike Carey
Artist: Rafa Sandoval

Emma Frost makes her rounds around Utopia erasing the lifetime of memories in everyone who doesn't want to keep them anymore. Think the Cuckoos are helping in some cases as they're shown in the Cannonball panel but seem to be absent in the Pixie panel.

😕 Umm no. Namor gets fried in the first scan. I'd tell you to read the issue but the scans actually make this pretty clear.

* this is what i want to see when Logan advances in Jean, but Jean fails miserably... 👇 for Jean... 👆 for Emma, really... this IS fidelity, and they're not even married yet... i really respect Emma for this... 😉 and i lost respect for Namor, messing with other men's girlfriend (Emma) and wife (Sue)... what an a$shole...
