What's it like to be Black Person?

Started by Oncewhite13 pages

It's weird, here's another scenario.

5-6 times (mostly in Florida), when I went out with a white MALE friend (this never happened when I went out with a FEMALE friend of any kind, and rarely happened when I went out with a black male friend)

Ok, when I go out (to dinner, shopping, etc) and the guy is white male, BLACK FEMALES, maybe one or two of them, will come up to me and try to establish a familiar bond or air.

The first time this happened was at a college campus, and was sitting with a cop and we were talking and having coffee, next thing we knew, some lady who I never met before sits at our table, and then, she butts into our conversation, and then, she looks at me like she wanted to talk to him, I got up and left, the guy asked me to stay, but I just got sick, b/c I've never done that (in your face) to another female.

The second time, I was with a friend and we were picking up food at the grocery store, and wouldn't you know it, another black female started jumping on the guy I was with, not literally, but it scared the shit out of him and I didn't know what to do, I wasn't that interested in him, but I felt badly for him, I suppose she felt that if he was with me, then he must want black women and she just became aggressive. I was like oh shit. We practically ran out of that store.

The third case, I was at a conference, and the guy I was with seemed very effeminate, but I was interested in another guy, and while I was getting his attention, I swear, 2 other black females swarmed around us, then, I slowly backed away and noticed they just hung around, didn't talk to anyone, didn't do anything but just stood there.

There are more cases, mostly strangers, but still, it's kinda weird if race doesn't matter, then why intrude when a person is only out with a white male, I can see if this happened when I was with a black male also, but never happens when I was out with a black male.

So, that part is very frustrating. It could have been the town I lived in, but still, it's too intrusive, so, to sum it up, I think to be a black female means that other black females are very intrusive and nosy, and pushy, esp. if you are out with another person of a different race. That's my experience. Too intrusive.

But, when I was out with a male friend of mine in this new area, the strangeness didn't come from black females, it came from older women (senior citizens), one lady pointed at us to the guy she was with, and he kept his head down and said something back to her (probably something like "mind your own business"😉. We were coworkers and just decided to go out for coffee, and our hanging out rubbed some folks the wrong way, and it's strange, we were walking around the mall area (outside area) and this lady who clearly looked like a prostitute came up to him and asked him directions (and I a was thinking the worse...like, I pray she doesn't think that I am in that kind of relation with him), so, maybe the black females in this area have been a bit slutty, but since we were both new in town, we didn't know the dynamics of the place, and although we were professional friends hanging out and getting coffee, it caused some strange looks, some from other men (like "wow, you are kinky" kinda look), and again, we were only going out for coffee and I had no interest in him romantically at all.

I have gone out with two MALE Asian friends, never got strange looks from blacks or whites or Asians..it's like no one cares...but a white male, yeah, people put on their freaky hats and start to think things that aren't cool.

Executioner: Nobody? so we're gonna move on to letter B - Blacks raise your hands.

*Nobody raises their hands

Executioner: Again No one? we are gonna move on to letter C - Colored people raise your hand so I can execute you.

*Nobody raises their hands.

Darkskinned prisoner: Hell no. I won't die today. Today I'm N For N1GGER. Those Mexicans are going first before me.

I hate clownly thread disrupting mofo's. To hell with them, hard.

Anyway. To be White may be to not feel at all bothered when called a racial slur, like cracker, whiteboy, redneck etc..

Let's see... I guess your changing of the topic from "black" to "white" wouldn't be considered a disruption.

Anyway, what gives you the right to presume what "white" people are racially bothered by?

Well... that was gripping. I expect a Booker Prize is likely in the post.

Out of interest "narrated" seems to imply something more. Was it written by someone actually on death row speaking from personal experiance? (.......)

To be honest if I had to guess what you were I'd be inclined to say "a sock of some kind."

He most certainly has, but regretfully I wont be changing my typing style anytime in the near future, nor becoming dependant upon smilies, so I guess we'll just have to fumble along as best we can.

There's a difference between being "dependant" on smilies and just using them. I use them every once in a while to emphasize emotion or conviction.

Other than Lord Urizen and Whob, I really can't think of anyone who's "dependant" on them. I also think that overusing smilies saps all intelligence from the post.
