im not so sure about cap beating spider-man. he was really doing damage in their civil war fight and clearly dominated, but just before the fight ended spider-man said hed just figured out how to win. fight man to spider, not man to man. and cap had already lost his shield.

i think the main problem in that fight was spider-man was largley trying to fight like a human, trying to block and counter instead of keeping very animated. cap did an awesome job of keeping it up close, but spider-man seemed like he was pretty confident he could at least give him a run for his money just before they stopped.
