Who wins?
Superman.
Why?
Analogy:
Because you have a student that is good at math (the Thing) but nothing else (eg fails in biology, chemistry, physics, etc) taking on a student that is a genius in math, a genius in biology, a genius in physics, a genius in geography, etc (Superman).
If the two students go for a comprehensive exam that tests them on all subjects, who do you think will emerge victorious?
Same thing here ....you have the Thing (who has strength as the main offensive capability) against someone who has all sorts of powers (and looking at strength alone has higher strength than the Thing, by far). There is no way the Thing can win.
This seems like a major spite thread (against the Thing), but the reason they are laughing is that even though it seems it is a spite thread you seem serious about it.
That is the reason people are laughing.
The only way that the Thing (any version) can defeat Superman (or a similar Superman-based character, eg Apollo, Sentry, Mr Majestic, Gladiator, Hyperion, etc) is through some REALLY CRAPPY writing. So crappy that the comic book would probably self-combust.
On KMC it is impossible for the Thing (again any version) to defeat Superman (or a Superman analogue like the ones I mentioned).

Same ending ....they face each other, Superman gives a punch, the fight is over. On pure strength alone Superman is heads and shoulders above Ben.
Basically the two shouldn't even be on the same planet.
(The Thing is even more one-dimensional than the Hulk ....for instance while the strength of the Hulk can vary, and usually varies upwards and can vary to significant levels, the Thing is basically stuck in a narrow power band. Thus he wouldn't be able to adapt, no matter how much time he had. Secondly at least the Hulk can do his leaps - while they wouldn't help him in a fight against Superman, at least he can jump. What the Thing has is his strength, his resilience to injury, and 'heart.' Sadly his strength is far below that of Superman, his resilience is also far below, and his heart doesn't mean anything to someone who can shave off electrons from an atom using heat vision and who has more powers than the average X-men team).
