Taxi Driver's my all-time favourite, but it's still a tough choice when he's done so many other brilliant movies. Casino, GoodFellas and Raging Bull are all classics. Mean Streets could've been if it'd had a better ending.
I found Gangs of New York to be immensely overrated. The storyline was week, Di Caprio's an arse (Though he was excellent in Catch Me If You Can) and I thought Cameron Diaz was slightly miscast in that role.
Daniel Day Lewis was brilliant in it, though.

The departed and goodfellas are my favs
In retrospect, I don't even feel as if a lot of these movies should even be included as "his" best movies ever. He didn't write most of his biggest successes, including "The Departed", "Taxi Driver", and "Raging Bull". He DID write "Goodfellas", and it's still my favorite. It just seems like he feels as if he needs to keep making gang movies until he gets it right, when he already did almost 20 years ago.,
